At the Astria Sunnyside Hospital Family Birth Center, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support for pregnant mothers as you bring your new baby into the world.

This industry-standard collaborative process prioritizes safety, equity and dignity in childbirth by improving communication and teamwork, ensuring that every person giving birth has a voice in their care.

Your physician and nurses will keep you well-informed every step of the way so that you can fell confident and comfortable with the options we offer during your labor, delivery, and postpartum stay. Our skilled anesthesia staff is available to help with pain management is the need arises.

The Astria Sunnyside Hospital Family Birth Center has four spacious delivery suites. Each suite contains a jetted tub in a private bathroom, and everything needed for labor and postpartum care for you and your new baby.

Our Obstetrics physicians and Family Birth Center team offers maternity care services, including: 

• Childbirth Classes: One-on-one personalized childbirth classes are available at no charge to every mother-to-be and their partner during the third trimester of pregnancy. Instruction is provided by one of Astria Sunnyside Hospital's Labor and Delivery nurses. Upon completion, participants receive a labor aides gift bag. 
• Prenatal Care: Regular check-ups and screenings to ensure the health and well-being of both mother and baby throughout pregnancy.
• Labor and Delivery: Modern labor and delivery rooms equipped, to provide a safe and comfortable birthing experience.
• Postpartum Care: Continued support and after delivery care to help new mothers recover and adapt to life with a newborn. 
• Lactation Support: Expert guidance and assistance with breastfeeding from our certified lactation consultants.
