Astria Health is pleased to welcome two new Executive Directors; Cheryl Stone, Chief Human Resources Officer, and Steven Hunsaker, System Director of Quality & Risk Officer.
New Chief Human Resources Officer, Ms. Stone, has a juris doctorate from the William Howard Taft School of Law in Santa Ana, California. Additionally, she earned her MBA in Business Administration and Human Resources from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona. Ms. Stone possesses over 20 years of experience in organizational executive management, and is a subject matter expert in contract and employment law. She has been highly successful in designing talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee retention programs.
Steven Hunsaker, Astria Health’s new System Director of Quality, received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Washington. Mr. Hunsaker has worked in upper management and executive capacities in the field of healthcare for over eight years. His areas of expertise include quality control, risk management, patient safety and relations, as well as accreditation.
Astria Health President and Chief Executive Officer, Brian Gibbons, commented “we are glad to welcome both Ms. Stone and Mr. Hunsaker to the executive leadership team at Astria Health.” He continued, “Ms. Stone and Mr. Hunsaker both have strong backgrounds in their fields, and we are confident that they will help guide improvements to our organization as a whole.”
Ms. Stone stated, “I’m very excited to be part of the team at Astria Health. This organization really values its employees, and I’m looking forward to continuing to build on that culture.” When asked about his new role at Astria Health, Mr. Hunsaker said, “I’m very driven to help organizations meet high standards of quality while reducing risks to patients, employees and the organization. I am looking forward to working together with the rest of the executive team to further these goals.”
