[YAKIMA, WA – April 2, 2019]. Often the bridge between life and death, Critical Care Medicine is essential to a community like Yakima. The Valley is a beautiful place to live. It is also a community surrounded by challenging weather, mountain passes difficult to cross for many months of the year, icy roadways, and unexpected life-threatening medical events.
That’s why Astria Regional Medical Center has revamped its Critical Care Medicine program and has brought the Yakima Valley an advanced level of intensivist expertise. Astria Regional Medical Center is a Level III Trauma Center, a Mission Lifeline Hospital (the only one in the State), has Platinum Chest Pain Accreditation with PCI and is a Level II Stroke Accredited hospital. This new team, combined with the world-class capabilities of the hospital’s existing Board-Certified Hospitalist, Emergency Room, Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, and Trauma Center physicians and nurses strengthens Astria Regional Medical Center’s ability to save lives.
