Astria Sunnyside Hospital offers Interpreting Services to all Astria Sunnyside Hospital patients who are inpatient, outpatient, and their relatives at no cost. All services are offered 24 hours a day, 7 days week during all hours of operation. If you or your family member are Deaf, Deaf-Blind, Hard-of-Hearing, whose primary language is not English please contact our Assistive Device Point Person to assist you with scheduling an appointment for interpreting services.

Astria Sunnyside Hospital values the safety of all our patients. We can’t utilize friends or family members to interpret any patient care information in reference to the visit. Our facility utilizes qualified medical interpreters to interpret all information communicated by our care team.

Types of interpreting services provided at Astria Sunnyside Hospital

  • Onsite in person face-to-face interpreting services.
  • Phone services are provided by LanguageLine Solutions for over 240 different languages.
  • Video remote interpreting services are provided by LanguageLine Solutions for individuals who are Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing or who have limited English. Services are offered in 36 languages and including ASL (English/Spanish).

All interpreting services are available 24/7 at no cost to you or your family 24 Hours a day, 7 days a week.

Interpreting Services or any special accommodations can be initiated by contacting the Astria Sunnyside Hospital Assistive Device Point Person. Also, these services can be requested by staff members who are interacting with a patient who has limited English, visual or hearing impairments.
