Medical Withdrawal Management

Approximately 9.2 million adults have co-occurring mental health and addiction disorders. Medical Withdrawal Management is an in-patient program created to compassionately handle patients with the need of withdrawal.

Unlike non-medical withdrawal programs, our facilities are located within Astria Toppenish Hospital and equipped to assist with medical care during the withdrawal process. Patients are cared for by physicians, and nurses as well as therapists. This multidisciplinary medical team can provide treatment based upon individual needs.

Together with the patient and his or her family, the care team develops an appropriate aftercare plan. This may involve a day hospital program, a community-based program, or outpatient therapy. Our goal is to help each individual continue the progress he or she has already made during their hospital stay in a way the makes that practically possible.
