Nutritional Services

Inpatient Services

Astria Health dietitians screen each inpatient to determine nutrition risks and then plans nutritional interventions for patients found to be at risk. Our registered dietitian will also provide diet education and meal planning through individualized care for the patients. This includes working with the Food Services Department to plan appropriate meals for each hospitalized patient.

Outpatient Services

Outpatient services are provided for those seeking nutritional education for numerous medical conditions, such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, renal disease and gastrointestinal disorders.

Astria Health's registered dietitians works with patients who are referred by their primary care provider. The dietitian will also work with patients who contact her directly seeking services. Patients should register with the Admitting Department on the day of appointment prior to the one-on-one session with the dietitian. Please bring your insurance information with you at the time of your appointment.

Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME)

Our dietitian assists our diabetes educator in teaching the nutrition session of the DSME classes held monthly. The dietitian may see a diabetes patient one-on-one as appropriate per diabetes educator referral.
