Rapid Care

Rapid Care is not the same as Emergency Care.

All too often, illness or injury occur without warning—you wake up in the middle of the night with intense stomach pain, or you trip and cannot put weight on your swollen ankle. Perhaps your child develops a high fever over the weekend. When these types of situations happen and your primary care provider’s office is closed, you may not be certain where to go for care.

You can see a provider right away, without an appointment, at Astria Rapid Care. Formerly called Astria Urgent Care, our Rapid Care medical providers have the training and clinical expertise to provide treatment in all areas of family practice. From diagnosis to treatment and ongoing care, our team members are able to maximize patient outcomes. Rapid Care services include:

  • Minor emergencies
  • Sprains and strains
  • Minor sutures and stitches
  • Minor cuts and burns
  • Treatment of cold and flu-like symptoms
  • Urgent health concerns
  • Labor & Industry claims

You can also see a Rapid Care provider for:

  • School and sports physicals
  • Return-to-work or school note
  • General health problems

Astria Rapid Care clinics are conveniently located in Prosser, Sunnyside, and Toppenish.

When to go to the Emergency Room at the Hospital

Certain medical conditions are considered emergencies because they can require advanced treatments, including surgery, that are only available in a hospital setting. If you or a loved one are experiencing any of the following symptoms, it’s best to go straight to the ER or call 911. Paramedics can often begin delivering life-saving treatment on the way to the hospital. If you are personally experiencing any of the following, call 911; do not drive yourself to the hospital.

  • Chest pain or difficulty breathing
  • Weakness/numbness on one side
  • Slurred speech
  • Fainting/change in mental state
  • Serious burns
  • Head or eye injury
  • Concussion/confusion
  • Broken bones and dislocated joints
  • Fever with a rash
  • Seizures
  • Severe cuts that may require stitches
  • Facial lacerations
  • Severe illness symptoms
  • Vaginal bleeding with pregnancy

Trust yourself. If you are not sure where to go, go to the Emergency Room at the hospital.
